Our Company's "Multi-Scenario Multi-Entity V2G Benchmark Demonstration Zone" Project Launched in Baiyun District, Guangzhou

Driven by the strategic goals of the "Dual-Carbon" targets and the construction of a new power system, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), in conjunction with the National Energy Administration (NEA), issued the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of Charging Infrastructure to Better Support New Energy Vehicle Promotion in Rural Areas and Rural Revitalization". This document explicitly lists the pilot application of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology as a key task, aiming to build a new energy ecosystem paradigm featuring the coordinated development of "Vehicle - Pile - Grid". Guangzhou has actively responded to the national strategic deployment, successfully obtaining approval as a pilot city for the large-scale application of V2G technology, and has comprehensively launched innovative practices in bidirectional interaction between new energy vehicles (NEVs) and the power grid.

As a crucial part of this pilot initiative, the "Multi-Scenario Multi-Entity V2G Benchmark Demonstration Zone" in Baiyun District is jointly led by Guangdong Power Grid Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau and Guangdong New Energy Storage National Research Institute Co., Ltd., with Guangzhou PRE Electric Power Control System Equipment Co., Ltd. serving as the V2G equipment partner. The project focuses on eight core application scenarios: industrial parks, office parks, government office areas, logistics yards, parks, hotels, community public charging stations, and battery swap stations. It aims to provide replicable and referential practical models for the large-scale promotion of V2G technology through multi-dimensional exploration.

For this visit, Guangzhou city leaders invited foreign delegations, including Egypt's electricity company, to tour the site. This station, representing the community public charging station scenario within Baiyun District's urban villages, serves not only as a demonstration window for the residential area category within Guangzhou's eight large-scale V2G pilot scenarios but also bears a threefold mission: deeply integrating cutting-edge V2G technology into public service systems, effectively addressing the challenges of peak shaving and load balancing in urban village power grids, and injecting new momentum into the city's green and low-carbon transformation.

This station is equipped with a high-performance V2G device matrix developed by PRE Electric, constructing an intensive community discharge service system:

  • Equipment Configuration: Features 3 V2G smart bidirectional charging piles, each integrating 2 x 30kW, dual-gun independent charging/discharging modules.

  • Service Capability: The total discharge power of the station reaches 180KW, enabling simultaneous bidirectional and orderly charging/discharging services for 6 new energy vehicles, meeting the clustered discharge demand of community vehicles during peak hours.
